Article No. 52194.1026

Description

Oriental tea, discovered during the Great Voyage, began to be imported to Europe in large quantities in the seventeenth century, but tea and sugar were luxury items only available to the nobility, so lightweight and sturdy white porcelain was the first choice for preserving the precious tea leaves.
